About Moroto High School
Moroto high school is a post independent government school that was started in 1965 under an Anglican leaning. It is about 700 meters east wards from Moroto city Centre. It was the first secondary school established in Karamoja Sub-Region and it was called Moroto secondary school.
The first head teacher was Rev. John Butler from the United Kingdom (1965-1970). To date, 16 head teachers have been posted to this school by the ministry of education and sports.
The current Headteacher is Mr. SABILA ERIC FRED.
The school started as an “O” level Boys’ boarding School up to 1976 when a few girls joined.
